The Town of Oakville is a beautiful lakeside town with a strong heritage and a thriving community of over 200 000 residents. History

The harbour at Bronte was originally a port used for trade in the 1800s as well as lumber and ship building which attracted most of the original settlers. The Chisolm family provided the funds to build a proper harbour through their vision to develop Oakville into a town. The village prospered and in 1857, it was designated the title of the Town of Oakville with George Chisolm as its first mayor.

Oakville has 13 traditional neighbourhoods with the older estate homes in the south and modern new builds to the north.

The charismatic neighborhoods of southern Oakville with their close proximity to Lake Ontario, are noted for their canopy of mature trees along Lakeshore Road and are known as areas of luxury and sophistication.
